CALA is a community based literacy organization that offers adults the chance to return to learning. We help people prepare to enter the Adult High School Diploma Program at the NSCC, study for the GED Tests, and take part in Family Learning Activities. CALA has been operating in Colchester and surrounding rural areas since 1994.

CALA is part of the Nova Scotia School of Adult Learning (NSSAL), and we partner with a variety of organizations in the community to meet the diverse learning needs of adults.
